Hunters who need to complete a Wyoming hunter safety course before getting their hunting license can now get started on their official training at hunter-ed.com/wyoming just in time to take advantage of the spring turkey season.
“The Wyoming-approved online hunter-ed.com course teaches the same material that is taught in the classroom. Now, students can complete the first step of their education online and follow up with a field day to complete their hunter education requirements in Wyoming,” said Jim Dawson, hunter education coordinator for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. “Between the Wyoming-approved content, videos, animations and other features, students learn all the same need-to-know information in this online course.”
Hunter-ed.com features new hunter safety videos that are designed to be fun to watch while presenting important safety information. These short videos cover safety topics such as tree stand hunting safety, firearms safety, hunting from a ground blind, effectiveness of blaze orange and more. Plus, students can complete the Wyoming online hunter’s safety course on a smartphone, tablet, e-reader, laptop or Internet TV. The course pages will automatically adjust to fit any device with no app required so the videos, graphics and animations are always easy to see. For more information or to take the online portion of the course, visit http://www.hunter-ed.com/wyoming.
Wyoming law requires anyone born on or after January 1, 1966, to complete a hunter safety course before taking wildlife with a firearm. Students can study the course material for free, paying only when they pass and print their Internet Field Day Voucher. Upon successfully passing the Wyoming Hunter’s Ed course online, students must complete a hunter education field day to finish their certification with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
