Columbia, MO –– MidwayUSA Foundation is excited to announce the support of Timney Triggers. This generous sponsorship highlights the commitment Timney Triggers has in assisting MidwayUSA Foundation fund youth shooting teams and organizations. “Having the support of the outdoor and shooting sports industries is crucial to our mission. Thousands of youth shooting programs rely on our funding and Timney Triggers has stepped up to help. MidwayUSA Foundation sponsorships are a true investment in future consumers, outdoorsmen and women, and conservationists,” stated G. Scott Reynolds, MidwayUSA Foundation Executive Director.
Youth shooting teams, of all disciplines, are funded through a MidwayUSA Foundation endowment and have the freedom to grow their respective endowment as they wish. “The MidwayUSA Foundation is an admirable organization doing amazing work to help grow youth shooting sports. Having the opportunity to work with and support this Foundation is a rewarding and meaningful experience,” said John Vehr, President of Timney Triggers and Founder of the Vehr Family Foundation. “Through the help of the Vehr Family Foundation, Timney is more than happy to help where we can to invest in the future of the outdoor industry, and we look forward to upcoming opportunities.”
Sponsorships like this one help provide more tools to make fundraising easier for the members of those teams. Through a successful product grant program, MidwayUSA Foundation and its industry partners offer quality items teams can use in their local fundraisers. Proceeds raised with the items can be split between the team’s endowment, where they are matched for long-term funding, and used to cover immediate expenses of the team. In addition, every team can receive a donation through the MidwayUSA Foundation website, and donations are generously matched by Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA.
Scott Reynolds continued, “Most schools provide little or no funding for youth shooting sports teams. And as the only youth shooting sports endowment program in the nation, MidwayUSA Foundation works hard to create long-term funding for these teams.” Every year, participating youth shooting teams can apply to receive 5% of their endowment balance through the cash grant program. This is cash teams can use to pay for necessary expenses like ammunition, targets, uniforms, entry fees, travel, and more.
