Streamlight Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting equipment and weapon light/laser sighting devices, introduced the TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER, a long-range, gun-mounted tactical light with a shock-proof green C4 LED. The new light is designed for hunting activities under low-light conditions.
The TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER offers hunters the latest in C4 LED technology, and a deep-dish parabolic reflector that produces a long-range targeting beam with 31,000 candela peak beam intensity. The light also optimizes peripheral illumination to assist hunters with navigation.
“The TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER easily and quickly attaches to most weapons, and offers a powerful beam to hone in on targets under other low-light conditions,” said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. “Hunters will appreciate this light, which offers superior long-range targeting capabilities, optimum peripheral lighting, and a bright green LED that enables hunters to effectively spot their targets without spooking them.”
The new light uses a green C4 LED that is impervious to shock and offers 150 lumens. Available with either a standard or remote door switch, the TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER features a tethered battery door and latch mechanism that prevents battery door loss while providing easy battery replacement. The light runs on two 3-volt CR123A lithium batteries and provides 1.75 hours of continuous run time.
Constructed from 6000 Series machined aircraft aluminum with a black anodized finish, the TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER features an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating that is O-ring sealed.
The new light can be quickly mounted to a broad range of weapons using Streamlight’s one-handed snap-on/tighten interface, which keeps hands away from the muzzle. It fits securely on a broad range of weapons, and mounts directly to all MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails and weapons with Glock-style rails. The light includes keys for Glock-style, Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W 99, and S&W TSW.
The TLR-1 GAME SPOTTER weighs 5.3 ounces with a standard switch, and 5.6 ounces with a remote switch. The standard switch model measures 4.83 inches in length, while the remote switch version measures 5.25 inches.
The new light features an IXP7 design for waterproof operation to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Its impact-resistant construction also has been extensively live-fired tested. The standard switch model has an MSRP of $202.98, while the remote switch version has an MSRP of $289.68. Both models come with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Special Note: Night hunting with artificial light may be prohibited or restricted in certain states. Always check your local and state game laws for clarification.
