Matthew Newberg has drawn a coveted Shiras moose tag in Montana. Randy has applied for 27 years and never drawn, but in this case it doesn’t matter. Fortunately for the crew, this hunt is only a few hours from their home base in Bozeman, Montana. Even more fortunate, Marcus Hockett, Field Producer, worked on wildlife research projects in this exact area.
Schedules did not allow Matthew to hunt the first month of the season. That’s not all bad, as most of the other tagholders have filled their tags a long time ago, allowing the crew to have the remarkable valley all to themselves.
No shortage of moose. Plenty of bulls. Now the question is, “Which one does Matthew like and how long does he want to extend his hunt?”
