NOWW is the time to make this happen! Valley of the Sun Quail Forever to host 1st Annual National Outdoor Women’s Weekend
Phoenix, Arizona: Today, the Phoenix, AZ based Valley of the Sun Quail Forever chapter announced that it will host the first major event dedicated to women in the shooting and hunting sports. The event will take place at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center Pavilion in north Phoenix March 6-8, 2020. Combining hands-on training with educational seminars, the NOWW event will give an opportunity to newbies and experienced women alike to learn from some of the very best in the business.
The weekend will kick off on Friday with an optional golf event to give participants a chance to catch a little sun and meet some of our sponsors, our dedicated team of volunteers, and other women (and even some men) that flew in to participate in the event.
Saturday and Sunday mornings will kick off with personal development coach to NFL and PGA superstars Deborah Dubree. Our participants will then have the chance to shoot Sporting Clays and get personal coaching from pro shooter and Quail Forever life member Anna V of Anna V Outdoors. Both days will offer a variety of seminars, including Introduction to Upland Hunting with Certified Firearms Instructor, Franchi Shotgun Pro Staffer and lifelong educator Tina Dokken. Shotgun safety expert, avid outdoorsman, and life-long upland and waterfowl hunter Simone Schara will do double duty as a seminar leader and shooting coach. Noted dog trainer, author, and inventor of the Dokken Deadfowl Trainer Tom Dokken of Oakridge Kennels in Minnesota will chair our dog training sessions. World famous hunter and social media influencer Tiffany Lakosky of The Crush with Lee and Tiffany will headline the Saturday evening banquet and join in as a presenter in our seminars.
The schedule is rounded out with a VIP Wine & Wild game event, a game cooking seminar, and more. Valley of the Sun Quail Forever is teaming with Arizona Game and Fish Department to educate our group on species and habitat issues, because it is, after all, for the birds!
