Concurrently, Mossy Oak has designated QDMA as an Official Conservation Partner of Mossy Oak and will bring its significant marketing power into play in support of advancing QDMA’s mission of ensuring the future of white-tailed deer, wildlife habitat and our hunting heritage.
“Given that Mossy Oak is QDMA’s longest-standing corporate partner dating back nearly 20 years, embracing Break-Up Country as our official camouflage pattern was an easy decision,” said QDMA CEO Brian Murphy. “Perhaps most importantly, our new partnership has strengthened our collective commitment to white-tailed deer and deer hunters.”
Following several years of informal support of QDMA, in 1998 Mossy Oak became the first official corporate sponsor of the organization. Toxey Haas, President of Haas Outdoors Inc., said at the time, “This is just the beginning of our partnership, and we look forward to a long and lasting relationship with QDMA.” (Haas is seen on the right in this 1998 photo presenting a sponsorship check to QDMA CEO Brian Murphy).
Mossy Oak has followed through on those words, remaining QDMA’s longest-running sponsor. The two organizations share much in common in their commitments to hunting heritage and their conservation priorities, which can be seen in all of the Haas Outdoors brands, including Mossy Oak GameKeepers, BioLogic, Nativ Nurseries, and Mossy Oak Properties.
Twice in QDMA history, officers at Mossy Oak have also voluntarily served lengthy terms on the QDMA National Board of Directors, sharing their business and marketing expertise to help lead and grow the organization. Most recently, Ronnie “Cuz” Strickland, Senior Vice President of Mossy Oak, joined the Board in early 2017.
“Toxey Haas and the entire team at Mossy Oak have a long and proud history of placing wildlife conservation ahead of profits, and for this we are honored to call them friends,” said Murphy. “Given how well Break-Up Country works throughout the whitetail’s range, it’s no wonder why it’s the best-selling pattern in the United States. It is our choice, and an excellent choice, for deer hunting.”
