Mossy Oak has added 23-year professional angler and World Walleye Champion, Johnnie Candle, to the Mossy Oak Fishing Team. Candle will represent Mossy Oak and its new Elements Agua pattern as he competes on the National Walleye Tour (NWT) and through various TV, video and speaking opportunities.“My first encounter with Mossy Oak was during an outdoor media event over 20 years ago,” said Candle. “They enjoy the outdoors and understand what it means to make it a better place for everyone. I don’t get to hunt much, but the Elements Agua pattern has given me a great opportunity to work with an incredible company. It also allows hardcore anglers the opportunity to be part of all that Mossy Oak stands for.”
Candle has been fishing professionally for 23 years. He won the MWC World Walleye Championship in 2010 and is a 15-time national championship qualifier for MWC, Cabela’s National Team Championship (NTC) and North American Walleye Anglers. He is also a two-time Cabela’s NTC All-American. Besides being a decorated angler, Candle is an entertaining public speaker and an active promoter of youth participation in sport fishing.
