PrairieFire Nevada announces Grand Opening, a 550-acre multi-purpose range complex about 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas.
The Grand Opening is on Saturday September 23, and we will have a Media Day on Friday, September 22, where only media will have the opportunity to go through our experiences and have exclusive filming opportunities.
PrairieFire’s Grand Opening Media Day will start at 10a PT and go through 2p PT. The activities revolve around shooting and other outdoor experiences that go beyond the gun and focus on human performance, learning and growth. You will be some of the first to experience:
Our one-of-a-kind 18-hole sporting clay course, custom-designed by Corey Howell of Howell Traps.
‘Gunslinger Canyon’ where shooters run and gun through a very challenging two-gun course. As the shooter moves through the course and targets present themselves—split-second decisions and unwavering focus are paramount.
Witness first-hand the expertise in which our Chief Training Officer, Hans Hansen, Master Chief (Retired) (SEAL), has skillfully incorporated his vast experiences into this extraordinary terrain, and try to make the mile shot.
We can arrange exclusive interview opportunities with:
PrairieFire’s Executive Chairman Gen. (Ret.) Scott Miller, who spent over 38 years in uniform, most of which was in special operations.
You will find in Scott’s bio that he was the ground force commander during operations in Somalia in 1993 during what was later captured in the book and movie Black Hawk Down.
Scott’s final assignment on active duty was as the final US and multi-national forces commander in Afghanistan, serving three years as the commander and relinquishing command in July 2021.
PrairieFire’s Chief Experience Officer Lanny Barnes. Lanny is a three-time Olympian, who competed in the Biathlon in 2006, 2010 and 2014. Lanny is a several time National 3-gun Champion and is competing in 3-gun, Handgun, PCC, IPSC Shotgun and Rifle competitions. She was the top American with 4th place individual and silver for team at the IPSC Shotgun World Championships in 2018. She also placed 3rd Individual and Gold in the team at the IPSC Rifle World Championships in Sweden in 2019.
Lunch will be provided, as well as transportation if needed. Let us know if you need recommendations for lodging or anything else. Please let us know if you can attend our Media Day at media@prairiefire.com.
