As part of a collaborative effort with Lee Williams, of Armed American News, to help combat the use of images and video depicting unsafe firearms handling, POMA has published guidelines outlining the best practices for firearm content creation. Large stock photo agencies are making disturbing images of gun violence, children with guns, and unsafe handling practices available to anyone as part of their stock photo purchasing options. One of the best ways to stop the use of these offensive photographs is to bring awareness to the danger they can pose by promoting gun violence and the potential exploitation of children — and to ensure the content you create shows safe and responsible firearms use.
