POMA Member Video- Duck Hunt turns into Kodiak Bear Rescue

While setting out to film a duck hunt on Kodiak Island, Alaska, POMA member Joseph Classen captured an unbelievable wildlife rescue effort of a Kodiak brown bear.

On a recent duck hunting outing with a friend, Joseph had the opportunity to combine both his love of nature and photography by capturing a Kodiak brown bear in distress, and the attempt to rescue the bear.

The incredible footage helps drive home the message conveyed at the end of the video – responsible outdoors enthusiasts are truly the first line of defense for conserving and preserving the great outdoors.

Joseph has a love for nature and wildlife photography that developed during his childhood. His parents introduced him to outdoor-related activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, hiking and more. His love of the outdoors and nature has continued to grow, and he’s most at peace when in the outdoors.
