Begun in 1993, Refuse To Be A Victim has taught proactive safety and crime prevention methods to more than 100,000 men and women. More than 3,800 instructors conduct 500 seminars annually in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, England, Costa Rico, Puerto Rico, Tahiti and Trinidad and Tobago. Seminar attendees learn the personal safety tips and techniques needed to avoid dangerous situations and avoid becoming a victim.
“Refuse To Be A Victim offers cutting-edge home, automobile, telephone, electronic and travel security strategies to everyone from teenagers to senior citizens and the physically handicapped,” said Community Outreach Department National Manager Eric Lipp. “The National Rifle Association encourages all law abiding citizens to further their education on personal safety and attend a seminar this June as a part of National Safety Month.”
