NBEF Congratulates Bowhunter Magazine on 50 Great Years

RAPID CITY, SD (September 26, 2022) – National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) celebrates Bowhunter Magazine’s 50th anniversary and its ongoing mission to inspire and promote bowhunting. The two organizations share a passion for bowhunting and, interestingly, the seeds for both organizations were planted around the same time.

In each issue during its anniversary year, Publisher Jeff Waring spotlights an industry partner that provided support to Bowhunter Magazine and also contributed to the growth and improvement of the bowhunting community. NBEF is thrilled to be recognized in the “Bowhunter Business” column in the September 2022 issue.

“NBEF appreciates this recognition by Bowhunter magazine,” explained Marilyn Bentz, NBEF Executive Director. “We’re proud of our heritage and the important steps that were taken to initiate the bowhunter education program. The founder and board members, from the onset and through the years, have guided our program and made it the success that it is today with thousands of volunteer instructors reaching tens of thousands of students each year. Throughout the years Bowhunter has been a staunch supporter of Bowhunter Education, with magazine Founder M.R. James and long-time Conservation Editor Dr. Dave Samuel playing key roles in the early days as board members and educators, and now Publisher Jeff Waring and ‘Hunting Whitetails’ Columnist C.J. Winand following in their footsteps.”

NBEF helps bowhunters learn to be safe, successful and stewards of the sport. NBEF offers bowhunting instructional items, books, videos, 3-D models, apparel and more at nbef.org.
