ICAST, one of the well known outdoor conventions, has been recognized by the Trade Show News. It was honored as one of the fastest growing trade shows in the country. The award was presented this month during TSNN’s 2015 annual awards conference and gala.
For the third year in a row, the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, has been recognized by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN) as one of the fastest growing trades shows in the U.S. by square footage. Produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), ICAST is the world’s largest sportfishing trade show, hosting more than 12,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.
TSNN placed ICAST on its Top 25 Fastest-growing Shows by Square Footage awards list. The award was presented this month during TSNN’s 2015 annual awards conference and gala at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart.
“In this category, show winners were chosen by their show’s growth rate of net square footage between 2012-2014,” said TSNN President and Editor-in-Chief Rachel Wimberly.
“Our industry’s trade show continues to grow in size and impact, both domestically and internationally,” said Trade Show Director Kenneth Andres. “ICAST’s continued growth reflects both the strength of the sport, the industry and our member companies who exhibit at the show.”
Andres further said, “However, the show floor’s growth is also an indicator that other manufacturers outside fishing tackle and gear, such as apparel and other related products, are noticing the growth in show attendance and want to introduce their products to ICAST attendees.”
“The consistent uptick in attendance is a direct result of our value-added efforts which includes incorporating new elements such as on-the-water product demonstrations, an industry bass fishing tournament, an industry golf/fishing tournament and an expanded business seminars schedule,” said Andres. “ICAST is a full-package of events and exhibitions which is what our exhibitors and attendees are seeking.”
ICAST 2016 will be held July 12 – 15, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
