CAST, Sportfishing’s Trade Show, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing shows in the U.S., according to the Trade Show News Network. The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) produces ICAST each year, and the event hosts more than 11,000 representatives for the sportfishing community, and continues to grow in both size and impact on the industry.
The International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, has been recognized by the Trade Show News Network as one of the fastest growing trades shows by attendance in the U.S. Produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), ICAST is the world’s largest sportfishing trade show, hosting more than 11,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.
The Trade Show News Network (TSNN) placed ICAST on its Top 25 Fastest-growing Shows by Attendance for 2011-2013. The award was presented this month during TSNN’s 2014 annual awards conference and gala at the Cleveland (Ohio) Convention Center.
“We appreciate the Trade Show News Network’s recognition that our industry’s trade show continues to grow in size and impact, both domestically and internationally,” said Trade Show Director Kenneth Andres. “ICAST’s continued success reflects both the strength of the sport, the industry and our member companies who exhibit at the show.”
Andres further said, “The consistent uptick in attendance is a direct result of our value-added efforts which includes incorporating new elements such as an expended business seminars schedule as well as refining our marketing and public relations strategies.”
Andres concluded, “This year, we’re giving our trade show website a new look with streamlined navigation making it much easier for both domestic and international exhibitors and attendees to access the show information. It’s part of our continuing efforts to enhance everyone’s show experience.”
ICAST, which had been held in both Las Vegas, Nev., and Orlando, Fla., will be held July 14 – 17, 2015, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) is the sportfishing industry’s trade association committed to representing the interests of the entire sportfishing community. We give the industry a unified voice, speaking out on behalf of sportfishing and boating industries, state and federal natural resource agencies, conservation organizations, angler advocacy groups and outdoor journalists when emerging laws and policies could significantly affect sportfishing business or sportfishing itself. ASA invests in long-term ventures to ensure the industry will remain strong and prosperous, as well as safeguard and promote the enduring social, economic and conservation values of sportfishing in America. ASA also gives America’s 60 million anglers a voice in policy decisions that affect their ability to sustainably fish on our nation’s waterways through KeepAmericaFishing, our angler advocacy campaign. America’s anglers generate over $48 billion in retail sales with a $115 billion impact on the nation’s economy creating employment for more than 828,000 people.
