Hunter Christmas Expo to Join Cowboy Christmas Gift Show in Las Vegas

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation‘s Hunter Christmas Exposition heads to Las Vegas this December. It will join the popular Cowboy Christmas Gift Show, and run concurrently with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. It will take place December 3 – 12, 2015.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Hunter Christmas Exposition will join the popular Cowboy Christmas Gift Show in relocating to the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center beginning in 2015. The show, which runs concurrently with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, is set for Dec. 3-12, 2015. The hours of operation in 2015 will also move up one hour to 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. PT.

To add to the overall experience, Hunter Christmas Expo will expand from four days to a full ten days in 2015, with a goal to become the most successful outdoor and hunting-related consumer expo in the United States.

“We had remarkable success with our inaugural Hunter Christmas Expo last December thanks to record attendance of approximately 28,000,” said David Allen, RMEF president and CEO. “We view this new partnership of being in the same location as the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show as a win-win for our exhibitors and attendees.”

“Based on overall demand, growth potential and the ability to partner with RMEF Hunter Christmas Expo, Las Vegas Events has made the decision to move the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show to the South Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center beginning in 2015,” said Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events.

The move to the South Halls and the partnership between the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Hunter Christmas provides the potential to grow the shows to more than 900,000 square feet of exhibit, retail and interactive space.

The Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest brought record crowds to the Las Vegas Convention Center over the ten days in 2014. Total attendance reached 200,179, surpassing the previous record attendance of 196,856 set in 2013.

RMEF will also hold its Elk Camp national convention at The Mirage Dec. 3-6 in Las Vegas.

Sold out for 280 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $10 million purse. Qualification is based on the 2015 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
