Starting July 1, POMA member Wm. Hovey Smith will have a segment on a new TV show “Welcome to Our North” that will air on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM on Dish Channel 266.

This weekly hour-long variety outdoor show is produced by Colleen Van Ells and features hunting and outdoor stories generally related to the North-Central U.S., except for Hovey’s segments which feature hunts and events from Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Hovey’s segments are generally on the last quarter-hour of the show and feature subjects such as cooking wild hog sausage, turkey hunting with a blunderbuss and a selection of road food including carp salad sandwiches.

This show contains footage provided by outfitters, fishing guides and others who participate in outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, game processing, wild game cooking, touring and rafting.
