On Jan. 3, the DSC convention and expo begins a four-day run at the Dallas Convention Center.

The public-welcome expo offers hunters and their families a chance to extend New Year’s festivities with more than nine football fields worth of worldwide hunting opportunities, sporting gear, firearms, art, collectibles, entertainment, seminars, auctions and more.

A crowd of some 40,000-50,000 is expected.

“Folks can come to this event and have fun and enjoy the quality atmosphere and be part of our most important annual fundraiser,” said DSC Executive Director Ben Carter. “We’re on a streak of record-setting events. In fact, our 2012 event was our most successful yet, generating more than $1 million for DSC grants to support conservation, education and hunter advocacy efforts worldwide.”

Admission is $20 per person per day (multi-day discounts are available) and free for children under 12 and active-duty military with ID.

Expo hours are Jan. 3—10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Jan. 4—10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Jan. 5—9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Jan. 6—10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For registered DSC convention attendees, additional events, galas, awards and fundraisers will be held at the Omni Hotel Dallas.
