This week on Gateway Outdoors we visit Hawk Mountain located near Kempton, PA which is the premier location to observe the fall migration of raptors in northeastern United States.
The annual Hawk Watch and count begins mid-August and continutes until mid-December. Annually, over this period thousands of birds of prey are seen, identified, and counted.
This year Hawk Mountain celebrates 80 years of raptor conservation. Listen in, and learn about this unique mountain top research facility that conducts, ongoinging research, and provides educational outreach in Pennsylvania, and extends worldwide.
