The Funky Chicken is more successful than full body decoys because of its wimpy size. It does not have the stature of a dominate gobbler, but rather that of geeky gobbler that everyone picks on and can physically beat up just due to its abnormal body. Dominate gobblers, subordinate gobblers, 2 year old gobblers and even jakes, upon seeing the Funky Chicken afield aren’t threatened by the decoy because of its geeky appearance.
