To our Valued POMA Members and Corporate Partners,
In this ever-changing world with the developments of COVID-19, the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) Board of Directors want to share a brief update in regard to our annual Business Conference, currently slated for June 16-18 in Franklin, Tenn. The health and safety of our members, partners, and attendees is a priority for us and we want to be clear in our communications.
POMA’s Executive Director, Kevin Orthman, and staff have been in regular contact with our conference partners in Franklin; adjusting what we can adjust and laying out options. Additionally, we are monitoring State Department updates, CDC guidelines and travel restrictions for #POMA2020.
As many of you know, our industry has been hit hard by cancellations of banquets and conferences. For all of us in the non-profit sector, those functions are a major revenue source. However, uncertainty in America has brought growth to both hunting and firearm sales. It is with this positive outlook that we want to encourage POMA members that our organization is a place to connect and learn how to reinvigorate both content and business in these times. No matter what curve ball we are thrown, we have a smart, energetic Board and ED who are continually communicating options. In that respect, POMA is very lucky, as am I to be a part of this organization as president for the last two years.
While we wish we could give you a more definitive timeline of action…events are ever-changing. What we know as concrete information today, is often changing the following morning. Therefore, please stay tuned to our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for the most up-to-date information.
Yours Truly,
Tony Bynum
POMA Board of Directors President
