Corey Slater Joins QDMA as a Regional Director

“Working with an organization such as QDMA has been a lifelong dream of mine,” said Slater. “I love everything about white-tailed deer and the entire process that goes into hunting them. Combining my background as a teacher and athletic director with my passion for deer hunting will enable me to effectively spread QDMA’s values. I am looking forward to meeting all the volunteers in my region and also bringing in new members throughout the area.”

A native of Pennsylvania, Corey is a 2014 graduate of Slippery Rock University, in Pennsylvania, with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. He was most recently employed as a real estate agent and before that a teacher and athletic director. Corey is a passionate deer hunter and land manager, serving as a prostaff member for Bill Winke’s Midwest Whitetail since 2016.

“We are excited to have Corey representing QDMA in Region 2,” said Ryan Furrer, QDMA Senior Regional Director and Field Supervisor. “Because he’s a lifelong hunter, fisherman and native Pennsylvanian, combined with his passion for conservation and white-tailed deer, I think Corey is going to be a welcomed fit for our current and future members within Region 2.”

Corey and his wife Charrie live in Mars, Pennsylvania.
