A former therapist, Jenny has interviewed more than 1,000 employees in the process of guiding organizations through turbulent change. Jenny will then lead a discussion with a panel of Accredited pros who will discuss how becoming Accredited in public relations helped them become accomplished public relations practitioners. The panel will discuss what they, as employers, now look for in their hiring processes and how being Accredited can help job searchers land that special job.
MODERATOR
Jenny Schade combines her background in communications and counseling psychology to help organizations answer that critical question, “How do your customers and employees feel about your products and services?” Prior to starting JRS Consulting more than 15 years ago, Jenny earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Northwestern University, had a career counseling private practice and was director of recruitment for two years at Golin/Harris International in Chicago.

Mike McDougall, APR, vice president, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Bausch & Lomb, leads the company’s outreach to business, financial and health care media, as well as government and community affairs, Mike is responsible for establishing an ongoing dialogue with the company’s 13,000 employees on six continents. Previously, Mike was worldwide director of products and services public relations for Kodak, where he developed communications strategies for consumer digital photography products and services.
Lorraine Thelian, APR, is the senior partner responsible for Ketchum’s North American offices. She serves on the agency’s 10-member Executive Committee, which drives the strategic direction for the agency. Previously, Lorraine served as director of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office where she was instrumental in developing strong practices in public affairs, health care, technology and corporate communications. During her tenure, the Washington office won five Silver Anvils, including two “Best of Shows.”
