This late-afternoon and evening event, allows media members to visit with attending company representative about new products, test fishing tackle and develop story ideas and content.
The event is slated for Thursday afternoon/evening outdoors along the shore of Pine Lake. A boat launch, dock and shoreline along with the big-top tent, give every manufacturer a chance to display products for hands-on testing and photography by media members.
Product Showcase is followed by an outdoor dinner at the lake, hosted by Columbia Sportswear.
Shooting Range
- The shooting range is safe, modern and staffed by qualified range officers.
- Use of eye and ear protection is required for all participants and observers.
- The range has 37 shooting positions: 10 positions at 50 yards, 8 positions at 100 yards, 18 positions at 10,15 or 25 yards, and four shotgun stations.
- Paper targets will be supplied by Caldwell.
- Indoor restrooms, accessible to persons with disabilities, are available.
- The archery range is adjacent to the shooting range and will be set up with paper or 3_D targets.
- Shooters must obey all range rules and regulations and directives from range officers.
- Shooting will take place from 8 – 11:30 a.m. The range must be cleared by noon. Volunteers will be available to help CPs setup, tear down and accept boxes for return shipping.
- Parking, for CPs, is permitted in the designated lot. Carts for moving product will be available.
- Shooting stations are assigned on first-come, first-served basis, based on reservation-received date.
Shooting & Field Day
This four-hour, morning event gives the media opportunities to test and shoot attending company’s firearms, ammunition, archery products, shooting optics and ATVs.
The shooting event is scheduled for Saturday morning, 8 – 11:30, at the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area shooting range facility.
Shooting is followed by an on-site luncheon, hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
