Conservation Media Award
POMA partners with 2% for Conservation to offer new Conservation Media Award.
Part of our mission at 2% for Conservation is to promote those who truly support conservation. Through our accreditation service, consumers can trust that the brands we certify are really putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to using their support of conservation as a branding tool.
For the Conservation Media Award, we want to highlight writers, videographers and creators who in the past year have gone out of their way to support vital conservation work. Time and money personally devoted to conservation work, is where the real conservationists can be found. We all know stewardship of land and wildlife is a lifestyle.

Examples include: banding birds, restoration of habitat, nature cleanup, wildlife surveys, and youth education to name a few. Any real donation of time or money to the tradition and heritage of fair chase hunting and conservation.
For this reason, the 2% for Conservation Board of Directors will vote on entries based on 3 criteria:
- The story arc of the entry. Does the entry place fish, wildlife, habitat and/or future generations at the forefront?
- That accessibility of the entry. Is the entry something that a sportsperson could easily share with a non-hunting/non-fishing friend without too much explanation as to the motive?
- The timeliness of the entry. Does the entry highlight a present or impending conservation need?
