Peter Krogh: As a veteran photographer and digital media asset management guru, Peter is a walking, talking encyclopedia of information for POMA members. He is an Alpha tester for Adobe, one of a select group of photographers advising the company on new functionality and features of the software. In addition to photographing, Peter is an author of several books, e-books and websites. He is a leading authority in Digital Asset Management for photography and other media. His books include The DAM Book and a new e-book Multi-Catalog Workflow With Lightroom 5. Peter is also a filmmaker. His work can be seen in “Hope in South Africa”. Peter is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).

Conservation

Gray N. Thornton serves as president and CEO of the Wild Sheep Foundation, the premier sheep and mountain game conservation organization in the world dedicated to “Putting and Keeping Sheep on the Mountain™.” As a public speaker he has been invited to present keynote addresses on wildlife conservation and hunting and angling ethics to diverse audiences ranging from civic and sportsmen’s groups, to international associations, the Serbian Parliament and former Presidents of the United States of America, France and South Africa. Thornton is a member of the board of directors of Bear Trust International where he serves as vice chairman. He has also served on the boards of the Conservation Fund, the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa Conservation and Empowerment Fund, the Ballot Issues Coalition, the Banovich Wildscape Fund, and the Lone Star Outdoor News Foundation.

Michael Murray is a seven-time, Primetime Emmy-nominated director of photography, cinematographer, adventurer and businessman. He has a reputation for acquiring imagery under extreme conditions and brought his creative influence to the first season of CBS’s “Survivor”, and was the director of photography on the first eight seasons. He started Adrenaline Films in 1991, with clients such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Universal Studios, Mark Burnett Productions, BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel and HBO. He has served as director of photography, cinematographer, and producer of many projects including “The Contender” with Sugar Ray Leonard and Sylvester Stallone, “Running the Sahara”, a documentary feature narrated by Academy Award winner, Matt Damon, and History Channel’s “Expedition Africa”, as modern-day explorers retraced Sir Henry Morton Stanley’s famous 1865 quest to find Dr. David Livingstone. When not shooting, Murray enjoys an active lifestyle of ski mountaineering, scuba diving, white water kayaking, wilderness canoeing, catamaran sailing and paragliding.

Russ Lumpkin is editor of Sporting Classics. Prior, he worked on the editorial staff of the National Wild Turkey Federation and more than a decade as managing editor of Gray’s Sporting Journal and American Angler. Son of a preacher man, he has lived in and around Augusta, Georgia, most of his life and has BA in history from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky.

Lamar Underwood is a former editor-in-chief of Sports Afield and Outdoor Life and has been a prolific editor of anthologies and other books for The Lyons Press, Globe Pequot, and Skyhorse Press. He is the author of the novel On Dangerous Ground, published by Doubleday in 1989 and later in paperback by Berkley. Lamar’s novel draws considerably on his experiences as a magazine editor in New York, and his outdoor experiences in Alaska, where he graduated from Fairbanks High School when his father was stationed there during the Korean War. His anthologies for The Lyons Press include titles on a wide range of subjects, including, war, hunting, fishing, submarines, flying, mountain men, and Theodore Roosevelt’s hunting tales. He also wrote two books of quotations for The Lyons Press: The Quotable Soldier and The Quotable Writer. Lamar’s articles on the outdoors appear in magazines such as Field & Stream, and in recent years he wrote 1001 Fishing Secrets for Skyhorse Press and is the co-author (with Nate Matthews) of 1001 Hunting Secrets for Skyhorse Press.

Book

Tom E. Opre, retired Detroit Free Press outdoor editor, spent more than 30 years as a freelancer and regular columnist for a variety of publications including Field & Stream and Outdoor Life. Opre served as president and chairman for the Michigan Outdoor Writers Association, the Association of Great Lakes Writers (AGLOW), and the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA). Today, Opre and his wife Sally live in suburban Atlanta and share their home with five Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and a Rhodesian Red-back.
